Aline White selected as new principal for Ripona School

The Ripon Unified school board convened Friday for a special session.

Included on the agenda were more new hires for the upcoming school year.

The list consisted of Aline White as principal at Ripona Elementary School, and Trevor Smith and Philip Fiorio as teachers at Ripon High.

The other new teachers for the 2024-2025 school year were Yameli Vera (Weston Elementary School), Jeannette Aguilera (Ripona), and Jeanne Gomes (Colony Oak Elementary School).

Trustees also looked to approve the hirings of both Steven Marzouk and Jashanpreet Singh as the Technology Support Student Apprentices assigned to the District Office as well as Josue Cervantes as the Night Custodian at Ripon Elementary School, Cade Kiser as a substitute Custodian, and Jairo Cruz and Jacob Thompson as Bus Drivers Trainees / Classified Substitutes.

In addition, the school board was scheduled to accept four resignations, including one at Ripona, two at Ripon High, and the other at the District Office.
