 Actor Michael Irby, in recent years, has played a president of a motorcycle club and a mob boss.

He was Obispo ‘Bishop’ Losa on Mayans MC, a spin-off of the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Irby’s character was the Presidente of the Mayans Motorcycle Club, Santo Padre charter.

As Cristobal Sifuentes, he had a recurring role as a Bolivian mob boss on the HBO series Barry.

Irby, 51, will be among the special guests at this weekend’s StocktonCon Summer 2024 at Adventist Health Arena, formerly known as the Stockton Arena.

The two-day event has grown to one the top pop culture events on the West Coast over the years.

The first-ever StocktonCon was a one-day event that took place in 2012 at the University of the Pacific’s Spanos Center.

StocktonCon Summer will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

Besides Irby, this year’s special guests will include Emilio Rivera (Sons of Anarchy, Mayans), Kyle Pacek (Mandalorian), C. Andrew Nelson (Star Wars), and Amy Allen (Star Wars).

The WWE will be represented by the likes of Hall of Fame wrestlers Sting (Saturday only), Kevin Nash, and Godfather (Sunday only) along with GCW, and Indy God Matt Cardona (Saturday only).

The voice actors will consist of Ricco Fajardo (My Hero Academia, Dr. Stone), Aaron Fajarado (My Hero Academia, Dr. Stone), Aaron Roberts (My Hero Academia, Black Clover), Eric Vale (My Hero Academia, Dragon Ball Z, One Piece), Joshua Seth (Digimon Adventure, Akira), Mallorie Rodak (Frieran, Fairytail), and Kyle Phillips (One Piece, Fairytail), to name a few.

Manteca High product Ramon Villalobos (Secret Wars, Nighthawk) along with James O’Barr (The Crow), Arthur Suydam (Marvel Zombies), Michael Golden (Batman, Dr. Strange), Bill Morrison (Simpsons, Futurama), Tony Fleecs (Local Man, Stray Dogs), and Jesse Hernandez (Urban Aztec) are among the creator special guests.

They’ll be part of a large array of artists, exhibitors, and special guests at the StocktonCon Summer – organizers are expecting more than 200 of this group to be part of the fun.

Thousands of fans are also expected to be in attendance, with many of those being in search of lost treasures from comic books, action figures, and other collectibles such as Funko Pops.

In addition, the two-day event will feature the annual Costume Contest in the Adventist Health Arena Panel Room near the main entrance – begins at 4 p.m. on both days, with those age 13 and older exhibiting their costumes that Saturday (July 13) and children 12 and under doing so on Sunday (July 14).

A portion of the proceeds from StocktonCon Summer will go directly to local charities.
