Construction kicked off not too long ago on the Meadowood residential development project in Ripon.

That’s the area located between Fulton Avenue and Goodwin Drive – about halfway between Colony Road and Arc Way.

According to the City of Ripon’s Winter 2024 newsletter, this project is planned to bring in 88 new homes that’ll primarily be situated on lot sizes between 3,200 and 4,200 square feet, creating a medium-density neighborhood while “maintaining Ripon’s high standards.”

The Meadowood residential development project is part of the North Pointe Specific Plan, which was approved in February 2018.

Located east of Highway 99 around the Mistlin Sports Park area, the NPSP focus is to provide a vision and guidance for the future development of a 310-acre area between River Road, Jack Tone Road, Fulton Avenue and the freeway.

In July, the Ripon City Council approved the Meadowood Property Reimbursement Agreement with Lennar Homes of California, LLC, paving the way for the development of the residential subdivision.

“The Meadowood project is planned to serve as a transition between the low-density residential development currently located on the east side of Fulton Avenue and the commercial development located on the west side of Goodwin Drive,” said the City of Ripon on the planned mixed-use neighborhood.
