Six townhomes are proposed for a lot where a home was recently demolished on Raylow Avenue at East Yosemite Avenue.

Plans were submitted to the city’s Community Development Department last month.

The location for the townhomes are next to a Sinclair gas station just east of Powers Avenue.

It is the second multiple unit residential project within walking distance of downtown that is now in the municipal review process.

The other is a six-unit apartment complex  at 429 Sutter Street where a small house is now located on a large lot to the northwest of St. Anthony’s Catholic School.

In addition to the townhome project, the city last month received plans for the expansion of Liquor City at 1152 West Yosemite Avenue just east of Union Road.

The owner plans to expand into space at 1150 West Yosemite that was leased Milan’s Pizza before it closed.

There are also plans for a laundry and retail space being processed by the city for 1155 East Yosemite Avenue, a block to the east of the six townhomes proposed for Raylow Avenue.
