The 25th annual Give Every Child A Chance Antone E. Raymus Bowl-A-Thon is right around the corner.

All of the proceeds from this major fundraiser scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28, will benefit GECAC free tutoring program.

Now is time for friends, families, groups and organizations to get their teams of five bowlers together for this fun event at Bowlero in Manteca, 1251 E. Yosemite Ave.

The cost is $250 per team and includes two games and shoe rentals.

There will be two sessions that day at Bowlero – the first will go from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. while the afternoon session is planned from noon to 2 p.m.

The event will also feature a raffle and silent auction.

Forming a team is easy, according to GECAC. All that’s required consists of:

·         Selecting five members per one team.

·         Choosing a team captain.

·         Picking a convenient time to bowl (morning or afternoon sessions).

·         Filling out the entry form and faxing it to 209.823.6255.

·         Securing and collecting pledges.

The final score will be determined by the total of pins knocked down plus the number of dollars turned in.
