lpd POATHC

Two suspects from out of the county that police say are responsible for the armed robbery of a resident of Historic Lathrop back in May will now have to answer to a host of charges.

According to the Lathrop Police Department, the incident occurred when the suspects pulled up alongside the victim while he was walking his dog early in the morning hours and robbed him. When patrol officers arrived on scene, they performed an extensive follow-up and were able to identify both the suspect vehicle as well as the identities of two suspects.

After detectives were able to obtain warrants for both suspects, the first – from Merced – was taken into custody back in July. The second suspect, from Sacramento, was arrested last week and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on various felony charges.
