Youngsters in Give Every Child A Chance recently received backpacks along with an assortment of school supplies to kick off the new school year.

Give Every Child A Chance recently held its annual Back to School Supply Drive.

That was good news for 60 families in the area with children enrolled in the volunteer mentor-tutor program.

GECAC, with support from the community, was able to collect over 150 backpacks with school supplies.

“We want to thank everyone who donated towards making a difference in the lives of students in our community,” GECAC posted on Wednesday.

Those who donated to this second-ever community outreach event included: The McBain Family, Traci Van DePol, Susan Crane, Donna Tripp, Jay Holmes, Judy Wentworth, Zoe Sephos, MUSD Nutrition Services, Melissa McCracken, Crystal McGuire, and The Commons at Union Ranch.

GECAC, in addition, gave special thanks to those contributed in making the Back to School Supply Drive possible.
