Manteca Presbyterian Church, 275 N. Main St., is planning a series of services and events to mark Holy Week.

• MAUNDY THURSDAY: April 2, at 6 p.m. The dinner and worship takes place in the fellowship hall. It will feature a tri-tip dinner with a simple service of prayer, scripture reading, and communion shared around the dinner tables. Come and experience the story of Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples.

• GOOD FRIDAY: April 3, 7 p.m. The interactive worship service in the fellowship hall is a multi-sensory experience as you will visit different interactive stations in the sanctuary. Some are for contemplation, some are for confession, and some are for healing. There will be guidance and instruction throughout the one-hour service

• CHOIR CANTATA: Saturday, April 4, 7 p.m. choir concert service in the sanctuary. The Community Choir performance of “Song of Shadows” follows the story of Jesus up to his being laid in the tomb. This work describes how the darkness grows stronger while candles are slowly extinguished. The service ends in the darkness of Jesus’ tomb.

• EASTER MORNING: Sunday, April 5, 10 a.m. worship with communion in the sanctuary. He is risen! The evil of the world that killed and buried Jesus has been overcome! The love God has for the world has triumphed once and for all. This service of music, prayers, and joy will encourage people to remember that the Kingdom of God has come near.
