Doctors Hospital of Manteca earns Tenets Circle of Excellence honors

Doctors Hospital of Manteca has been recognized for superior achievement in quality care, service excellence and operational performance receiving parent Tenet Corporation’s 2013 Circle of Excellence tribute.

Doctors’ is one of nine in the corporate systems to be honored with the excellence award.

CEO Nicholas Tejeda spoke on behalf of the entire leadership team and governing board, saying they were all thankful and appreciative of every employee, physician and volunteer the well-deserved recognition.

“Through hard work, determination and commitment to quality, Doctors Hospital of Manteca has once again proven itself to be one of the best hospitals in the Tenet Healthcare and in the Central Valley,” Tejeda said.

Tenet President of hospital operations Britt T. Reynolds added his comments saying, “I am proud to recognize them with this prestigious award as it recognizes Doctors Hospital of Manteca as a preferred hospital for patients to receive care, for physicians to practice medicine and for employees to work.”

Doctors Hospital opened its doors in 1962 as a 28-bed, 41 employees, and nine physician rural community hospital in the heart of California’s Central Valley.  Over the years the hospital has expanded to more than 400 employees with a medical staff of more than 154 physicians.

Tenet Healthcare Corporation operates 49 hospitals and 117 outpatient centers.
