Two shootings, stabbing reported at motel & two bars

Two shootings and one stabbing occurred Saturday night in Manteca.

Manteca Police confirmed Tuesday afternoon that there had been a call with shots fired at the Best Western Inn on East Yosemite Avenue near Highway 99. They could not provide further information.

Tuesday watch commander Sgt. Lewis Clark confirmed there had been a single round fired Saturday night at the Extreme Sports Lounge located on Pierce Avenue just east of Library Park. No suspect had been located.

It was also released that a superficial stabbing had taken place at the Rusty Hook bar on Yosemite Avenue, just east of Powers Avenue, with detectives following leads on a possible suspect.

Police said they found one shell casing at the Extreme Sports Lounge and others outside the Best Western Motel on East Yosemite Avenue.   The knifing victim was treated at a local hospital and released, Sgt. Clark said.
