Cinco de Mayo celebration Sunday at downtown Mantecas Library Park

Everything from a low rider car show to Mexican bands are part of the free Manteca Cinco de Mayo celebration taking place this Sunday, May 5, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Library Park in downtown Manteca.

 Admission is free to the Central Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Numerous vendors are offering everything from food to crafts as well as commercial offerings.

Added attractions this year include hourly opportunities for children to bust piñatas as well as pony rides.

There will be an extensive low rider car show.

The entertainment includes , community groups and individuals, a karate demonstration, Mexican folk dance groups and more. The bands include Grupo Bandidos, Grupo Impacto Solar, Grupo Nota 2, Grupo Tardio Musical, Los Fernandez, and DJ Manny.

There also will be kid rides offered by Fun & Games.

There also will be a raffle for a 48-inch flat screen TV, a 10-inch 16GB tablet and $100 in cash. Raffle tickets are $3 each or two for $5.

The Library Park site is popular with those attending who often dance to the music beneath the cooling shade of the stately sycamore trees.
