Ripon High School senior Paige Burrell is moving on to the next chapter in her volleyball career and has accepted a scholarship to play for a NCAA Division II school - Nyack College in Nyack, NY.
Paige has been playing volleyball since the age of 10. She has played in grade school and high school but also has had the opportunity to play travel volleyball for several club teams.
“I am really excited about the opportunity to play for Nyack College and at the college level and looking forward to getting the chance to see a different part of the US, which is also a little scary at the same time,” sahe said.
“I’d really like to thank all my teammates, coaches, friends, teachers and especially family for all their support,” Burrell added. “Ripon High volleyball has been my home and I want to wish Coach Uecker and all the girls the best of luck”.
Paige has had the honor of being the captain of the Ripon High varsity volleyball team as well as the opportunity to play at the Junior Olympics level.
She has also been named to the Trans Valley All League team and defensive player of the year in her career. She has also maintained a strong focus on academics and has been on the honor roll all four years of high school. She has also been awarded scholar athlete honors.
