Crossroads Grace Community Church is conducting a back-to-school backpack drive through Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC) and Manteca Unified schools to help families in need prepare their kids for school.

The drive takes place Saturday July 30, from 9 a.m. until noon at the front entrance of Crossroads at 1505 Moffat Blvd. between Spreckels Avenue and Austin Road.

You can either complete a backpack and label it for a certain aged student or provide supplies that would be used to assemble backpacks.

Suggested school supplies for various grades of children include:

• Pre-Kindergarten & kindergarten: Backpack, pencil box, pencil sharpener, 12-pack No. 2 pencils, 2 pocket folders, pack loose leaf paper – wide ruled, glue stick, 24-pack crayons, set watercolor paints, 10-pack children’s markers, 24-pack colored pencils,  safety scissors, pack of tissues, antibacterial hand sanitizer
