$125K in losses from home fire

A home fire in West Central Manteca’s Walnut Place neighborhood on the southeast corner of Walnut Avenue and Alameda Street caused $125,000 in damages.

It required a full call out of off-duty firefighters and reserves shortly after midnight Sunday to battle the blaze in the 800 block of Greenlaven Street with one person possibly having suffered burns.

Manteca Fire Battalion Chief Bob Davis estimated losses as a $75,000 in property and another $50,000 loss to home’s contents.

Six units responded to the fire including one from the Lathrop Manteca Fire Department along with a unit from the Manteca Ambulance District.
