With many hopeful homebuyers trying to purchase new homes while the buying conditions are ideal, K. Hovnanian Homes is offering a free credit enhancement program for customers with challenging credit histories.  The program, available through the builder’s lender, K. Hovnanian American Mortgage, assists customers who have a history of bankruptcy, delinquencies, foreclosure, short sale or other credit issues and want to become responsible homeowners. 

Since its inception, 148 homebuyers have utilized the credit enhancement program to improve their credit scores enough to purchase a new home. 

“Customers who have a history of bad credit assume they can’t qualify for a new home,” said Carrie Gooding, senior community manager for K. Hovnanian Homes.  “Many of them are surprised to learn their credit can be repaired enough to allow them to qualify for a loan.”

“We urge people in this situation to visit one of our communities and see if they qualify for the credit enhancement program,” she said.

At many communities, the builder is able to offer down payment assistance and zero-down programs to qualified buyers.

The credit enhancement program is available at K. Hovnanian Homes communities throughout the central valley, including Medallion in Manteca, Bella Vina in Fresno and Eagles Ridge in Santa Nella.

At Medallion in Manteca, a 1,886 square foot, three bedroom, two bath home with a two-car garage and stone exterior accents is complete and available for quick move-in.  The home is priced at just $228,890.

K. Hovnanian Homes is currently offering a 1,715 square foot, three bedroom, two bath home with a two-car garage and full front-yard landscaping for just $164,780 at Bella Vina in Fresno.  The home includes more than $4,000 in designer upgrades and is available for immediate move-in.

Energy saving features have been built into the homes at all K.
