2013 Kia Sorento Ex impresses

The 2013 Sorento recently rolled into the lot of Kia Country, 1515 N. Main St., Manteca.

Included is the EX model with plenty of the extras, from the Infinity surround sound audio system to the automatic dimming mirrors and panoramic sunroof.

According to Kia Country folks, the Sorento was voted the No. 1 third-row seat among midsized sports utility vehicles.

This SUV is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine with double overhead cam and continuous variable valve timing, with six-speed automatic transmission (Sportsmatic) and independent front and rear suspension.

It gets an estimated 20 miles per gallon, city, and 26 mpg, highway.

The Sorento – available in the exterior colors of bright silver, dark cherry, ebony black, metal bronze, snow white pearl, titanium silver and Tuscan olive – comes with five-spoke hyper-finish alloy wheels and is equipped with antilock brakes, traction control system, electronic stability system, downhill brake / hill start assist control, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

As for safety features, this SUV has the dual front advanced and front seat-mounted side airbags along with the side curtain airbags for the first two rows.

Bluetooth, iPod input and satellite radio can be part of the package.

The Sorento, in addition, comes available with the push button start and smart key, leather seat trim, and UVO in-vehicle Info system with rear camera display. Ditto that for the navigation system with Sirius traffic info, dual zone climate control, and a memory driver’s seat with mirror position.
