Senior forward Johan Peringelil accumulated 31 points and nine rebounds on Tuesday, leading the Manteca boys basketball team to a 62-33 win in their first game of the Mark Gallo Invitational at Central Catholic.
The Buffaloes (4-3), winner of three straight, wrap up pool play against undefeated Beyer (4-0) on Thursday starting at 8 p.m. Downey (1-4) faces Beyer tonight at 8.
Jayden Scarver chimed in with eight points in the opener. Josh Mellion and Tyler Watkins had seven each.
