Tours of St. Mark’s will be conducted during this weekend’s Egyptian Festival in Ripon.

The St. Mark Egyptian Festival is this weekend in Ripon.

Those attending can discover the essence of Egypt’s culture through an array of family-oriented events.

“Relish traditional Egyptian fare, groove to live music by an Egyptian band, take part in a captivating raffle, and explore additional activities – all at no cost,” said organizers via social media on Thursday.

St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church is located at 315 Orange Ave.

The 21st annual Egyptian Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The food booths will offer up many favorite dishes, including shish kabob, falafel, beef shawarma, stuff grape leaves, zalabia, baklava, macaroni bechamel, filo cheese triangles, and others.

The Pharoah Bazaar boutique – offering everything Egyptian, from traditional clothes to apparel and souvenirs – and the Coptic book store will also be open.

In addition, there will be church tours taking place every hour on both days.
